Opportunities To Serve

We believe we can change the world together.

Bee Creek is a community that is committed to serving. Here are a few ways you can do the good work that Jesus calls us to...

Youth: Host a dinner, chaperone a trip or assist at youth group.

Children: Be a Sunday school teacher, Bee Kids assistant or help with special events.

Hospitality: Welcome new comers with treats for Sunday morning worship.

Farmacy: Serve outdoors and put your green thumb to good use.

Foodies: Prepare food for our special events.

Office Support: Support our staff and come help us out in the office.

CAVs Hours: Teens can get in their required service hours.

From The Garden

October has been an awesome month in the garden.   91 volunteers for 289 hours by 28 individuals.  Record breaking-  even more than last year.  All thanks to our wonderful Lake Travis High School Team and neighbors, we have picked up 14 new volunteers.

As far as production goes, we have already surpassed last years totals.  We have also started harvesting from the fall garden and summer garden is still winding down.

Other accomplishments for October are we are now working out of our newly installed shed which is secured behind a a fully intact fence.

We have altered the original plan to include a memorial orchard for fresh fruit and berries and are working to get that started in the next month.  All 12 4x4 beds are completed and 3 new elevated beds will hopefully become active in November.

God is good!

Clara

Farmacy Work Days

Farmacy Volunteers Needed!  "Fall Plant" is under way.  Workdays every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 8am to 11am.  If you would like to volunteer during the week please contact Clara Kistner at clarakistner@hotmail.com.

All ages welcome, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring water, gloves, gardening tools, big shovels and a positive attitude. No experience necessary.

Shortly, we will be moving on to Phase 2 of the garden space. This space will be designated to educate the children, provide  beds for those that are physically challenged and to open up space for those who live in the community to have their own garden space.  New to the garden plan will be a memorial orchard, stay tuned for more details!

Joining God in God's Mission

We don't go on a mission, we simply join God on the mission that God is already on!  Join us and join God!

We believe we can change the world through Outreach and Mission.

Local Mission

Bee Creek UMC is involved with many missions throughout our community. BCUMC supports these local missions financially and by sending mission teams and volunteers to help with disaster recovery, building projects, and much more. You may contribute to any of these ministries at any time, just make sure that you designate “Outreach” or "(The Specific Mission)" on your financial gifts.

Helping Hand Crisis Ministry

We are proud to be a part of this ministry in the Spicewood area.  Each Tuesday from 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm, volunteers distribute food, provide counseling, and help with crisis needs at 512 Pace Bend Road North. Volunteers are always welcome and encouraged to participate. For more information about Helping Hand Ministry, please call Marty Miller at (512) 808-6092.

The Farmacy Community Garden

The garden was established to provide organic produce for clients of the Helping Hand of Spicewood Crisis Ministry. The Farmacy team also hopes to empower individuals to take control of their health through hands-on nutrition education & by promoting the healthy eating habits that can combat illness & disease. Finally, we strive to create volunteer & learning opportunities for community members of all ages.  Whether you can volunteer your talent, time, or

provide financial support, we need you!  For more information contact sue@beecreekumc.org.

Disaster Relief – We are always looking for ways to help when emergencies strike. Bee Creek has its own E.R.T.
