All are welcome to join anytime, even if you did not join at the start!

Grow Groups

The new Sunday morning groups are called “grow groups.” In essence, these groups center around spiritual transformation, learning to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through relationship & reflection. The groups focus on the individual’s lived experience and how that relates to God’s presence in our lives.

Each group discusses the same question every meeting, “How is your life with God?” Each member is encouraged to share as they feel comfortable.

Group sizes will remain small (7-8 per group), confidentiality is expected, and a member will meet with the same individuals each time they gather. The lifespan of each group will be determined by that group. Each group will aim to keep the focus on their weekly experiences with God. In doing so, members will learn to grow with one another, receiving one another’s struggles, victories, and ultimately, learning to support one another in love.

Be sure to RSVP to the church office or contact me directly for the zoom link at

Bible Bees Study Group

NEW! Starting October 13th we will begin a study of "Not a Silent Night" by Adam Hamilton. This is a 5 week study that looks at the Christmas story from Mary’s point of view.  This study will end the week before Thanksgiving, so come join us and get in a truly spiritual Advent mood for the Christmas holidays!

We welcome all to join us.  Even if you don't start at the beginning. Differing viewpoints, knowledge, and understanding contribute to lively discussions.

This class meets via Zoom every Wednesday night from 7:00pm - 8:00pm.

We believe: Prayer works.

At Bee Creek, we’ve seen time and time again what prayer can do. When our church began, 100 people we didn’t even know joined us in prayer for God to bless our efforts. Prayer was the first ministry we established and it continues today through our dedicated Prayer Chain

Prayer Chain Team

If you would like to be a member of the Prayer Chain and commit yourself to joining others in their prayers, please email the church office click here.

Hospital Visitation Team

The Bee Creek UMC Hospital Visitation Team was formed to support our church families with prayer and presence while they are hospitalized. This includes day surgery as well as over-night stays. BCUMC members have volunteered and been trained to be a part of this team.

A member of our team will visit the patient and their families at the hospital. If the patient is not feeling up to visitors, we will leave a card letting them know that we've been by to visit. Many of the team members are also trained to offer Communion.

Remember the covenant we have all made with each other as members of Bee Creek UMC. This ministry is part of the fulfillment of the covenant. Please let us know if you or a friend is hospitalized.  We would love to visit and share the love of Christ. We also need team members. Don't be bashful, step up.

If you or someone you know is in need of a hospital visit, please contact the church office at (512) 264-2225, or email our Hospital Visitation Chair, Joanna Johnson at If you are interested in joining our team, please let us know!

Do you love to knit or would you love to learn how to?

The Prayer Shawl Ministry combines compassion and the love of knitting/crocheting into a prayerful ministry which reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace or in celebration and joy. The ministry believes in the awesome power of prayer and petitions God.  Every stitch is made on behalf of the person who will receive the shawl. It is our hope that everyone receiving these shawls will feel God's embrace and BCUMC's love.

Quilting and Crochet Team

"In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas), she was always doing good and helping the poor.

About that time she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an upstairs room.

Lydda was near Joppa; so when the disciples heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two men to him and urged him, “Please come at once!”

Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them.  Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up.

He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet."

Acts 9: 36-41

Stephen Ministry Team

Are you or someone you know going through a difficult time?

Stephen Ministry is a special ministry which connects a trained lay person with individuals to walk through life's hurts and pains.  These trained Stephen ministers have a heart for journeying with others hand in hand with Christ.

Click HERE to watch a video about Stephen Ministry.

Consider letting a Stephen Minister help. A Stephen Minister is a member of our church who has been trained in providing confidential, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. They are prepared to listen, support, pray, and encourage in a non-judgmental, confidential manner, and will walk along side a person who is hurting as long as the need exists.

To request care for yourself or someone else, or to request more information about this program including becoming a Stephen Minister, please send us an email or give us a call.

Men's Ministries

The men of our church support many of our programs and ministries with their volunteer time.

They often get together to "hang out" at Bible study, grill some mean burgers, or dive into a local or global mission project.

For more information on how to get connected contact the church office.

Men's Mission Teams

Our men have a number of ways that they reach out to the community, both around the world and right here in Spicewood.

LaSenda Children’s Home, Guatemala

A Men's Mission Team travels to the La Senda Children's Home in Guatemala each year. They work on various building projects for the growing home. We send monthly financial support to this orphanage and school in Guatemala of $500. We have annual mission trips to the home by both Men and Women Ministries. Others in our congregation have "adopted" a child and send monthly support. We have a special connection with the kids at La Senda!

Other Mission opportunities

The men's ministry teams have traveled to Louisiana and to various areas within Texas to help with rebuilds after hurricane destruction.
