• Barby Schmidt - Director

    Barby grew up in Abilene, Texas and moved to Austin after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University. She has previously worked for Bee Loved as a Lead Teacher and was the Assistant Director for the last two years. Barby has three daughters and has been married to her husband Dan for 24 years. Barby has a passion for helping her community and Church. She has served as PTO President for West Cypress Hills and is currently involved in the Lake Travis Volleyball Booster Club.

  • Erika Allred - Assistant Director

    Erika grew up in Palm Beach County, Florida, and attended the University of Florida, graduating with a degree in Special Education. Erika has been married to her husband Daniel for 23 years. She is the proud mom of 4 children, 2 daughters who attend Texas A&M University, and a son and daughter at Lake Travis High School. Erika has a background teaching K-5 Special Education, 3 & 4 year old preschool classes, and serving in her church’s children’s programs. She has a passion for learning new things and enthusiasm for igniting a lifelong love of learning in children.

  • Marisol Butler - Program Coordinator/ Spanish Teacher

    Marisol grew up in Del Rio, Texas and moved to Austin after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and English from Texas State University. She went on to obtain her Paralegal Certification from Texas State and worked at the Attorney General's Office under three different administrations. She changed courses and moved into the preschool environment when she started a family. She has two high school age children and has been married to her husband for the last 25 years. She has served in multiple capacities in the preschool setting for the last 13 years, Spanish Teacher, Lead Teacher, Assistant teacher, Office Assistant, and teacher trainer. She loves working with preschoolers and all age groups are her favorite.

  • Casie Pelczar - 2's Lead Teacher

    Casie grew up in San Antonio and has lived in Texas most of her life. She went on to study Family and Child Development at Texas State University, where she met her wonderful husband of 25 years. She has been busy raising three beautiful daughters, Charlsey, Carsen and Chandlyr. Casie leads both the M/W and TU/TH preschool classes at Bee Loved.

  • Laysha Collins - 3's 4-Day Lead Teacher

    Laysha recently moved from Oregon, with her 7 year old son, to the Spicewood area to be close to family. She is loving the area and sense of community. She spent many years teaching all ages of preschoolers and has spent the last few years running a natural cottage bakery, but is very excited to get back into the classroom!

  • Millicent "Renee" Jardine - 3's 3-Day Lead Teacher/ Music Teacher

    Millicent grew up in Corpus Christi and moved to Austin in 2001. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Music Studies, Choral Emphasis at The University of Texas in Austin and has worked with children of all ages for over a decade. Millicent currently lives in Spicewood with her husband, Eric and her two children, Ryder and Emery.

  • Mandy Jones - 4's Lead Teacher

    Mandy moved from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Austin, Texas in 2011. She is originally from Ponte Vedra, Florida and grew up spending her time between Florida and Texas. She graduated from the University of Houston in 1995 with a degree in Elementary Education. She is Texas certified teacher with a second specialization in Early Childhood Education. She is a wife and mother to four boys ages 15,17,19 and 21. She currently lives in Lakeway with her husband and two youngest sons, who at attend Lake Travis High School. She previously taught 8 years at the Elementary level. She is returning to teaching Pre-K after being a stay at mom for the last 20 years. This will be her 3rd year teaching Pre-K at Bee Loved. Her passion is teaching little ones and giving back to our community.

  • Amber Evans - 4's Lead Teacher

    Amber is a born and raised Austin-nite. She is happily married to her husband David, has 2 children Ava and Daxten, and 2 dogs Zoe and Cricket. She spends her free time coaching softball, going to the beach, and with her family. She went to school to pursue a career in the medical field. She found it rewarding to work as a risk management director but felt that there was something missing. Her calling grew stronger and she switched roles. She took on tutoring, serving in Childrens Ministry, teaching and coaching . She took some time off to raise her children and is now back in the classroom doing what she loves best. This will be her 2nd year at BeeLoved and she can’t wait to welcome all the new faces.

  • Kayla West-Regner - 4's Lead Teacher

    Ms. Kayla has been a teacher at Bee Loved for over 9 years. However, she has spent over 20 years in the education of 3-6 year olds. Kayla graduated with her bachelors in Psychology from The University of Texas and received her masters in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Counseling from Texas State. She has a certification in Montessori Education. She knew from a very young age, 12, that working with children was one of her life goals. "I have been extremely happy and blessed to have worked in the lives of so many children. I get great joy from watching them grow and learn and am so glad to have been called to this mission in life." Both of Kayla's children attended Bee Loved. Her son Daylen is now entering High School and her daughter, Irelan, is entering 7th grade. Her family is complete with her husband, Anthony, dog Josie and two cats Thunder and Bow.

  • Kristen George - 2's Assistant Teacher

    Kristen was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University where she also met her husband, Jacob, and has been married for 16 years. After graduation, she spent 10 years in Houston working in the medical field as a Practice Manager. In 2018 her family moved to the Spicewood area and Kristen put her career on hold to help raise their two children, Lexi and Kasen. This is Kristen’s 2nd year teaching at Bee Loved.

  • Cassie McDaniel - 3's 3-Day Assistant Teacher

    Cassie was born and raised in Bryan, Texas, and attended Texas A&M University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioenvironmental Sciences. She moved to Austin in 2006 where she began her career in the environmental consulting field. She worked as an environmental consultant for ten years before taking time off to be with her young family. Cassie has been married to her husband Derek for 16 years, and they have four beautiful daughters, ages 3, 7, 9 and 11. She has experience working in early childhood education as both and assistant teacher and substitute teacher. She leads her three oldest daughters’ Girl Scout troop, and enjoys watching her girls play sports, gardening, group exercise, and spending time outdoors and on the lake with her family.

    Becca was born in Michigan, but raised as a proud Texan. She became a mother in 2014, and decided to pursue a career working with children as she raised her first child at Bee Loved! She loves working with Children and nurturing their spirit.She has worked with all ages, from newborns - 12 year olds. Becca takes pride in knowing her students are happy and comfortable at school especially on rough days. She will do whatever she can to make sure her students know they can always talk to her. This year is Becca’s 2nd year as an assistant teacher at Bee Loved.

  • Lynda Dickey - 4's Assistant Teacher

    Lynda grew up in Northern California, but has called Texas home for 30 years. She and her family lived in Flower Mound, TX for over 20 years and then moved to Spicewood. In Flower Mound, Lynda developed a curriculum for teaching art history to young children. She taught her art history program for 14 years to private pre-school classes, and homeschool groups. She also worked as an Assistant Teacher at a pre-school in Flower Mound. Lynda has been married to her husband, James, for 34 years. She was always involved in their children’s school, from volunteering in classes to PTA president. She has three grown children. The two oldest are married and the youngest is about to begin college. Lynda loves working with preschool age children to bring out their creativity and artistry.
